There are many times when we as Christians forget that we have a mission here on earth. We forget that there is more to life than the new birth and awaiting the time when we will see Jesus face to face.
In brief, we are to endeavor to grow into the image of Christ, and to make Him known to all around us. Though simple, it is our life-long goal and pursuit.
In the midst of daily trials, we often forget our need to reach out to others. Doesn’t it often seem that we can barely keep up with our own spiritual walk?
When we follow in the footsteps of Jesus, we learn to take His yoke upon us. We realize that we cannot maintain a Christian life without daily submitting to Him, allowing Him to live His life through us. We begin to take our eyes off of ourselves, and then we realize that our new birth is but a gateway to making Him known to others.
In this Sword of the Spirit 180 video, Pastor Scott stirs us to remember what a great work has begun in us. When we fully realize our forgiveness, we become free to go and share with others what we have witnessed and experienced. That becomes impetus and the power for us to reach the lost.
Let this video move you. Spend time in the Lord’s presence. Remember what He has done for you, give Him His praise, and then go tell somebody!
