Many people when facing great trials and adverse circumstances cry out, “Where is God?” In our hopelessness, we forget the nearness and the faithfulness of God.
As you watch this Sword of the Spirit 180 video clip, remember that our Lord wants us to dwell in the shadow of His wings and take refuge in His Name (a strong tower). Pastor Scott reminds us of God’s knowledge of our suffering. Instead of wanting to be removed out of adversity, let us seek to ride through our trials with Him in our boat, fully at peace.
Because we live in this world and “see through a glass darkly”, we often forget that our tests and trials have a purpose far beyond what we can see or imagine. However, we should quickly remember that our Lord is a “present help in time of trouble.” He longs to walk with us in every valley of the shadow of death and show Himself to be our comfort.
After you watch this video, turn to Psalm 91 and read the passages that Pastor Scott quoted. Immerse yourself in God’s Word. Wait in His presence. Then shout for joy, knowing that He will see you through your trial!
